1. Denver
Located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, has a lot of outdoor activities to do. Since it is on the east of the mountain range it has a mild dry climate with 300 days of annual sunshine. It is called a mile high city because it sits one mile above sea level and is usually dry, so it is better to drink a lot of water. The sky is really blue in Colorado.
2. Rocky Mountain National Park
You can hike along with the trials and visit the lakes there. During summer it’s a great idea to hike and do camping; and in winter you can ski, sleigh rides, snow skating, and snowboarding. Telluride is a small town with the best ski resort. There are so many reasons why Telluride is unique. Gondola rides are free here and it connects the old with the new town and offers spectacular views of the San Juan Mountains. Once you reach the resort there are plenty of things you can do. Outdoor retailers also offer snowmobile and snowshoeing rentals and guide options for one to choose.

Colorado is known for its mountain views, scenic beauty and hiking opportunities all throughout the year. There are a number of trails and hiking places all throughout the state. The hikes are categorized into easy, moderate and difficult based on the round trip distance. You can choose a hike that is suitable for you. Don’t forget to carry a lot of water and energy bars when you go on a hike.
